...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky, 
  including the following counties, in south central Kentucky, 
  Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In 
  southeast Kentucky, Bell, Clay, Jackson, Knox, Leslie and Owsley.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 821 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and embedded
    thunderstorms moving north to northeast across the area. Some
    locations have already received between 1 and 2 inches of
    rainfall so far since this morning. Occasional rainfall rates
    between a half inch per hour and an inch per hour will occur
    at times within the more intense thunderstorms. The heavier
    rain will cause minor flooding of small streams and creeks,
    roads, and roadside culverts.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Somerset, London, Monticello, Williamsburg, Barbourville,
    Mount Vernon, Pineville, Manchester, McKee, Booneville,
    Whitley City, Middlesboro, Boone, and Science Hill.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
